My take is: 2016 Trump voters were shitty, remain shitty, and we ought to try to seek other voters from the massive pool of people who traditionally don't go to the polls rather than try to pander to 2016 Trump voters.

My hope has never rested on making an appeal to Trump voters. Voting for him was an act that obliterated all trust and any hope that they would accept any appeal to any fine moral or principal.
