@etvNewsSA According to police spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters, #VickiMomberg will be handed over to the prosecuting authorities at the Randburg Magistrate's Court and is due to appear shortly. @etvNewsSA
Moments ago, #VickiMomberg ducked from cameras at the bottom of the stairs. Speaking with Brigadier Peters moments ago, she confirmed there was a warrant of arrest for Momberg since 1 August 2019 after she failed to hand herself to police in July. @etvNewsSA
@etvNewsSA #VickiMomberg has appeared. Her lawyer is addressing the Magistrate. He says he's very "concerned" about the matter. Momberg was brought to court based on warrant of arrest, he says, but he has not received a copy of the warrant despite repeatedly asking for it. @etvNewsSA

@etvNewsSA #VickiMomberg The High Court found Momberg guilty of four counts of crimen injuria for using the K-word 48 times on a police officer in 2016. She was sentenced to 2 years in prison. She approached the High Court to appeal the ruling, but failed. @etvNewsSA
@etvNewsSA #VickiMomberg then had 30 days to apply for special leave to appeal from the Supreme Court. She submitted her appeal on 13 Aug 2019. A warrant of her arrest was issued on 1 Aug 2019. Sukhdeo is arguing that this warrant was "premature". @etvNewsSA
