JUST IN: House Intel subpoenaed Mulvaney tonight, per an official.

“We hope Mr. Mulvaney does not hide behind the President’s ongoing efforts to conceal the truth and obstruct our investigation.”

We reported today Mulvaney would not appear for his scheduled deposition tomorrow
Impeachment investigators decided today to NOT subpoena John Bolton, citing Bolton’s efforts to slow-walk the process by vowing to challenge a subpoena in court.

Dems have decided that Mulvaney, though, should be subpoenaed.

The Taylor/Kent portion of impeachment hearing #1 is over. Committee members are sticking around now to vote on Rep. Conaway’s motion related to the whistleblower.
The committee is voting on a motion to table Rep. Conaway’s motion to subpoena the whistleblower.
Conaway’s motion to subpoena the whistleblower is defeated, 13-9.

With that, the first impeachment hearing is over.

Schiff interrupts Castor to tell Taylor and Kent that they don't have to answer questions centering on “facts not in evidence.” In the members’ section, Louie Gohmert says: “You have the nerve to say that?”
The question was whether Taylor/Kent “can appreciate that some elements of the Ukrainian establishment” were “out to get” Donald Trump.
As they previewed in the days leading up to today’s hearing, Republicans are using their time to breathe life into Trump’s skepticism of Ukraine and his belief that the country’s government was biased against him.

FRIDAY: David Holmes
SATURDAY: OMB official Mark Sandy

(OMB has uniformly rejected requests & subpoenas for testimony & documents.)
HOLMES may be the aide who overheard the Trump-Sondland call that Taylor just testified about.
We’ve confirmed that Holmes is, indeed, the aide Taylor was referring to.
