This is WRONG. The Tory and Labour leaders do not want to #StopBrexit - a large proportion of the British people do. The exclusion of the other main UK party leader - the @LibDems’ @JoSwinson - who does want to #StopBrexit is undemocratic and breaches the OfCom code. /1
As with @ITV, we will now be initiating legal proceedings against the @BBC too. We cannot allow our democracy and different political views to be thwarted in this way. /2
We are in an era of multiparty politics -the era of two-party politics is well and truly over. And yet our main broadcasters insist on presenting the old,anachronistic, two-party version to the public. It is the establishment reinforcing the establishment and must be called out/3

I'm a great believer in being able to count - given 21 former Tory MPs and at least 8 others clear there are no circumstances under which they would vote Jeremy Corbyn in as PM then the numbers don't add up and an alternative compromise candidate will be needed. /1
The Mother of the House, Harriet Harman, and Margaret Beckett are both senior members of the House of Commons, both Labour MPs who could command a majority, and have said they would serve as caretaker PM. It is hard to fathom why the Labour leadership would reject them. /2
The majority for an emergency government lies among the independent former-Conservative and former-Labour MPs sitting in the House of Commons, and they will not support Jeremy Corbyn as a caretaker Prime Minister. Here's just a flavour. /3

@JoSwinson's claim that there's no Commons majority for Corbyn as PM is further backed up by Dominic Grieve today: “Corbyn is unfortunately a deeply divisive figure and in trying to stop a no-deal Brexit it is not my purpose to help him into Downing St."

Want to do your bit to #StopBrexit at the #EUelections2019 ?
Then your best bet is to vote for an unashamedly pro-Remain party, and use your vote tactically to maximise the chances of pro-Remain MEPs getting in.

Of course, if you can persuade others who might not have voted to go and vote too (maybe go with friends, encourage your family to make an effort, or offer to drive a colleague to the polling station) that's a super effective tactic to boost the pro-Remain vote. Every vote helps!

Many of us have lived, slept & breathed Brexit for almost 3 years (unlike most of our politicians) & we are weary. I feel like I've been ignored, screaming into a void, begging for some crumbs of reason & in a permanent state of anxiety & frustration. But why?

Let's go back a few years. Since Thatcher, there had been a core of (mainly Tory) Eurosceptics, but they were kept in check until Farage & UKIP started to gain ground in traditional Tory seats. As the EU expanded, the right-wing press had a field day & stirred up resentment.

This created a xenophobic groundswell in both Tory & Labour heartlands and, whilst they weren't losing Parliamentary seats, their share of the vote (GE & Local elections) was being lost to UKIP. Cue Cameron trying to show he was getting tough on the EU.

I have spent every single day since June 24 2106 fighting to #StopBrexit. I have done so not so much because I am a huge fan of the EU, but because I value everything that our membership of this Union brings. I treasure the enhanced rights which have been afforded us.

I have benefited enormously from Freedom of Movement, my time living in France during my 20's was formative & given me an extended family. It also enabled me to gain a second language, which has benefited my career, which in turn has enabled me to give my son a better life.
