Reading through Fiona Hill's testimony — she says Sondland claimed Trump had given him "broad authority related to all things Europe."

Sondland pointed to a letter outlining his responsibilities (which Hill says is "frankly" just the normal letter all ambassadors get)

Hill says Sondland kept giving out her and others' personal cell phone numbers to European officials.

Said "some of it was comical," but asked another official to explain to him this was a counterintelligence risk

Here's Hill's account of the July 10 meeting with Ukrainian officials.

Says Sondland "blurted out" that we have an "agreement" with the chief of staff (Mulvaney) to have a Trump-Zelensky meeting "if these investigations in the energy sector start."

"Ambassador SondIand, in front of the Ukrainians... was talking about how he had an agreement with Chief of Staff Mulvaney for a meeting with the Ukrainians if they were going to go forward with investigations."

This May, Hill talked to Amos Hochstein, an American on the Naftogaz board.

He said there was "a lot of pressure" put on Naftogaz officials to appoint board members, "seemed to be at the direction of Giuliani." Also pressure for a Burisma investigation.

Hill explains why a meeting with President Trump would be considered so important and valuable for the Ukrainians. Every foreign leader wants one, she says.

Hill says that, in late May, Sondland circumvented the normal NSC process regarding a letter from Trump to Zelensky, adding a request for him to visit (but with no specific date or time).

Hill says that when Sondland asked for investigations in the energy sector on July 10, it was obvious "that this was code" for "Burisma." Due in part to Giuliani's many TV appearances saying as much.

Hill says that when she would meet with Bolton, "the television was always on," and "it was usually on Fox News." Sometimes Giuliani would be on, and Bolton would turn up the volume to hear.
