IMPORTANT | To have a clearer understanding regarding the current Bolivian political crisis and who's behind the coup attempt against the constitutional president of #Bolivia, Evo Morales, let's follow this thread by @GBorgesRevilla, Director at Misión Verdad.
Bolivia is being intervened by foreign powers, but no one mentions this. So far, all analyses focus on narrating the conflict as a local issue, a terrible mistake. Leading the coup we find organizations and companies financed by the US and Europe since at least 2005.
Officially, USAID has not been operating in Bolivia since 2013, but the financing of sedition and racist groups never stopped. The embassies of Germany and Spain have served as ‘clutch’ entities to fuel those leaderships we see today as “surprises”.
The starting point to this intervention stage began with the fires in the Bolivian Chiquitanía in mid-August. Dozens of NGOs created a climate of tension not seen since 2008. The "leadership" of Luis Fernando Camacho has been emerging since those days.
Camacho is the typical yuppie, son of businessmen, political heir of the criminal Branko Marincovich, who's accused of organizing terrorist groups and bomb attacks. Camacho is also listed on the Panama Papers.
None of these groups have their own mental or intellectual capacity to set up such an operation on their own. Coordination from the shadows by the US, the OAS, the catholic church, Germany and Spain, is key to understand that this is not an organic uprising.
Evo Morales popular support hasn’t fought back yet.
Miners, Aymara organizations, farmers and organized women will define the fate of the only political process that has given dignity to a forgotten nation until the arrival of Evo Morales, in 2005. We will see.
