The Jizya abolition is much talked about but that was a brief phase - from 1580s till about 1670s if I am not wrong

For much of the rest of the centuries, Jizya was in force
Even Iconoclasm is not merely an old memory from the Khilji age

It persisted in practically every century

The demolition of the great Varanasi temples (be it Bindu Madhava or Vishvanath) was in the late 1600s.
