The US has backed a right-wing military coup against Bolivia's democratically elected socialist President Evo Morales, the country's first Indigenous leader, who had just won re-election by 600,000 votes.

Violent US coups targeted every progressive, elected leader in this photo.
The US-backed violent, elite, rich right-wing opposition overthrew Bolivia's Evo after similar US coups against Venezuela's Chávez (2002) and Honduras' Zelaya (2009), and a failed attempt against Nicaragua's Ortega (2018)

Any independent leftist Latin American leader is targeted
Evo Morales won re-election in Bolivia fair and square. A statistical analysis by experts showed no evidence of irregularities.

This was a right-wing military coup, backed by the Trump admin—just like the failed US coup against Venezuela earlier this year

The corporate media has been spreading a lot of lies and distortions to justify the right-wing US-backed coup in Bolivia.

The top court ruled Evo was allowed to run again for president.

He won re-election fairly. The opposition is overthrowing democracy.

Bolivia's right-wing opposition coup leaders like Luis Fernando Camacho have been conspiring with the US-appointed Venezuelan coup leaders.

They are all part of the same network of elite right-wingers, supported by the US and backed by rich capitalists
These photos show Bolivia's right-wing coup leader Luis Fernando Camacho meeting with US-backed Venezuelan coup leader Gustavo Tarre in August—2 months BEFORE the election which Evo Morales won fairly

This coup was PLANNED. And it just succeeded, with help from the US government
You might notice a lot of right-wing bot accounts with a few followers justifying the coup against Bolivia's elected President Evo

This coup was planned months in advance. There had been warnings going around in Latin America. People feared it was coming:

This June was the 10th anniversary of the US right-wing coup against Honduras' elected leftist President Manuel Zelaya.

Many of the same tactics were recycled to overthrow Bolivia's Evo Morales.

US imperialism is the world's biggest threat to democracy

US government cables released by WikiLeaks show that Bolivia's opposition presidential candidate Carlos Mesa, who lost to Evo Morales in the election, was regularly in correspondence with US officials

For years the US was using him to try to undermine Evo

In 2002, the US-backed right-wing opposition overthrew Venezuela's democratically elected leftist leader Hugo Chávez. The Bush administration was deeply involved in the coup.

In that case, Chávez was returned to power and continued to win free elections

The Ecuadorian group that led the resistance to the US-backed regime of Lenín Moreno and his IMF austerity package:

Bolivia, "the country with the best economic growth in Latin America (with effective redistribution) is on fire."

"Plan Cóndor is back."
Every single democratically elected left-wing leader in Latin America fears being overthrown by the US govt and the right-wing capitalist oligarchs it protects.

Mexico's newly elected President AMLO has been warning against coup attempts recently as well
Some recent US-backed right-wing coups in South America:
Venezuela 2002
Haiti 2004
Honduras 2009
Paraguay 2012
Brazil 2016
Nicaragua 2018 (failed)
Venezuela 2019 (failed)

Now Bolivia

This is just over 20 years—there were dozens more during the Cold War

Operation Condor is back
Months before the election in Bolivia began, a network of right-wing opposition activists, heavily funded by the US government's regime-change arms and rich capitalist oligarchs, mobilized to spread propaganda and lies to destabilize leftist President Evo

Don't forget earlier this year the Trump admin brought back neocon Elliott Abrams—a convicted criminal who oversaw literal genocide and war crimes in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua—for the coup against Venezulea

You can bet Bolivia was a target too

A few weeks ago, the US-backed right-wing regime in Ecuador began rounding up and detaining elected politicians from the leftist opposition party, who support former President Rafael Correa.

Now there are reports of attacks on Evo's supporters in Bolivia
Under leftist President Evo Morales, poverty in Bolivia was cut in half.

National extreme poverty declined from 37.7% in 2007 to 17.3% in 2014.

Rural extreme poverty from 63.9% to 36.1%.

Urban unemployment fell from 8.5% to 2.3%.

The minimum wage in Bolivia was raised 372% over 13 years of Evo Morales' presidency.

The right-wing opposition is trying to restore power to the rich elites who used to control the country. That's why they overthrew him in this coup.

Make no mistake, this right-wing coup in Bolivia is 100% supported by the Donald Trump administration

Operation Condor has returned throughout the region
A few weeks ago, the fanatically right-wing Bolivian demagogue Luis Fernando Camacho was barely known. Then corporate media appointed him "opposition leader."

Now he took over Bolivia's presidential palace.

Back in August he was conspiring with US-backed Venezuelan coup leaders
