International Criminal Court authorises prosecutor to proceed with investigation into alleged crimes against Rohingya from Myanmar. Noting scale of alleged crimes and number of victims, situation reaches gravity threshold.

International Criminal Court "accepts there exists reasonable basis to believe widespread and/or systematic acts of violence may have been committed that could qualify as crimes against humanity and persecution on grounds of ethnicity and/or religion against Rohingya population".
Prosecutor will start collecting evidence from a various sources, which can take as long as needed. If sufficient evidence is collected to establish that specific individuals may bear criminal responsibility, the Prosecutor would request Judges to issue summonses or warrants.

Court of Appeal rules @ukhomeoffice acted "unlawfully and unfairly" when deciding claims by child refugees in Calais. Court also held the Govt misled the High Court by a "serious breach of the duty of candour and co-operation by the Secretary of State".

Shameful behaviour by the Government - firstly, mistreating refugee minors & then misleading the High Court about how it had behaved and why.
So @ukhomeoffice admitted it refused to give the refugee children reasons why their claims were refused just so they could not take legal action against the Home Office.

As the court says, that is exactly why reasons must be given - so legal action can be taken, where needed!

In today's @DailyMailUK. @IpsoNews rules that the front page article with the headline "Another Human Rights Fiasco" had "serious and significant" errors. It was inaccurate and breached the Editor's Code. Mail forced to publish this ruling, with a reference on today's front page.
"The breach was serious and led to publication of seriously misleading information on an important subject. The misleading information was in a prominent position both in the article and in newspaper as a whole, and it substantially changed the meaning of the article": @IpsoNews
So @DailyMailUK's front page included the claim that he was an insurgent caught with a bomb. But didn't then say that a judge found that this allegation was "pure fiction". @IpsoNews found "the repetition of these serious allegations ... seriously misrepresented the judgment".

Days after his chilling remark that "Other countries stand there with machine guns, ready to fire. It's a very effective way of doing it but I wouldn't want to do it" – thereby introducing the idea & justifying it in the event of a (manufactured) threat.
