Interesting point raised about the election falling on a working day when Wolverhampton Wanderers have a crucial early evening Europa league tie.

30 000 Fans unlikely to have much time to vote in a town with key Labour held marginals.

Expect a significantly low turnout there...
For those saying Arsenal & Manchester United also have games that evening - true. But their fan base is by definition more scattered as big city based & more socially diverse given ticket prices et al.

#wwfc game will without doubt impact on Wolverhampton constituency elections.
All 3 Wolverhampton constituencies are Lab/Con marginal Labour held seats.

Other remain parties are nowhere.

The 30 000 voters quite likely to miss the election vote could thus enable all 3 seats to switch to Tories.

Labour definitely need a strategy for this.
