@MarshaBlackburn When I called, the call went to voice mail twice. Then, on the third attempt, the phone rang and a staff member answered. 2/
@MarshaBlackburn After reaching @marshablackburn office, I identified myself as a constituent and asked for the staff member whose responsibility is the Senate Judiciary. I was told that that staff member was unavailable. 3/
@MarshaBlackburn I asked for the name of the staff member who is responsible for the Judiciary. I was told to hold. Then, after a 3-4 minute wait, a man answered the phone. I assumed I had reached a staffer with knowledge of the Senate Judiciary. The staffer said his name was "Adam." 4/
@MarshaBlackburn "Adam," the staff member in @marshablackburn's office asked me for my name, and I gave it. Then, Adam refused to give his last name. I found out that Adam is not connected to the Judiciary Committee but works on staff. 5/
@MarshaBlackburn Adam informed me that it is @marshablackburn policy not to give out the names of staff members who are supposed to represent Tennessee votes. He stated that staff members do not give out names. 6/
@MarshaBlackburn I asked Adam how I was supposed to get information about the claim made on social media that LTC Vindman was the "handler" for the whistleblower. He stated that I could use the "Contact Marsha" page on her website. 7/
@MarshaBlackburn Note that "Adam" was not willing to give me the name or email address of any staff member; thereby making it impossible for me to get a response to the question I had. 8/
@MarshaBlackburn I then asked, "It appears that Senator Blackburn knows the identity of the whistleblower. Who is the whistleblower?" Adam said, "I don't know the tweet to which you are referring." I explained what the Senator said. 9/
@MarshaBlackburn After Adam in @marshablackburn office told me he didn't have any information, I once again asked who would be the person who knows the identity of the whistleblower in Blackburn's office. He told me that he didn't have that information, but referred me to the contact page. 10/
@MarshaBlackburn I asked what evidence @marshablackburn has for her claim that Vindman is the "handler" for the whistleblower, and he said he didn't know. I then mentioned that it would be valuable for staff to know the answers to questions on matters like this. 11/
@MarshaBlackburn After Adam in @marshablackburn DC office told me he didn't know anything, he suggested I could contact her office via website. I was informed it'll take 14 days for a response. 12/
@MarshaBlackburn I told Adam in @marshablackburn DC office that I didn't think Tennessee constituents should have to wait 14 days for a response on a matter of national importance, and that I think it is dangerous and inappropriate for the Senator to make these claims without evidence. /FIN
