Apparently the associate superintendent is digging in,still not letting coaches who have resigned but are actively working to recruit kids for college access Hudl even after the student & parents requested this and the coaches are willing 2 assist (which they don’t have to do) 1/

The February 1st signing day is fast approaching. These kids have colleges interested but the Athletic Director believes he should limit the coaches and circumvent the will of the parents to punish the coaches who left 2/

I thought the goal of schools was to provide more opportunities for students who may not otherwise have the chance to go to college to go to college 3/

I also thought the Tinker case told you all that Students don’t lose their rights at the schoolhouse gate 4/

And yet here we are. I thought we were better than this and yet here we are 5/

Let our kids get recruited to college. 6/

I’ve heard people are starting to complain that they are tired of hearing about the issue... well the parents are tired of you all limiting recruiting opportunities to prove a point and settle personal scores 7/

The students are tired of waking up with anxiety wondering if their coaches will have access to their hudl in time for recruitment 8/

There isn’t a big window for recruitment, why put more obstacles in the way 9/

If you are tired of hearing about the problem then create a solution... it’s that simple 10/

A Hudl plays the same role in admissions as a transcript for most students

Do you want to pretend if a parent requested a third party have access to a transcript you would deny them? 11/

The only reason you believe you have the right to control an athletes transcript is because you view them as a commodity that can be thrown away after the season ends

They don’t have value to you once they leave the field. Yeah I said it 12/

These kids have value to me, to their parents, and will be a valuable addition to any college
if you would stop letting your ego getting in the way of their recruitment 14/

So if you are tired of hearing about this then I suggest you take a nap over the break... because it’s about to get way louder. 15/

I am not going to have these kids sit with me working hard to get a SAT and ACT score that they can’t use for recruitment because someone is having an ego play 16/

A score they should not have to be tutored to get, by the way, but are being tutored because you failed to provide them with adequate preparation and have yet to close the gap... oh yeah I’ll be discussing that 17/

A score their parents would have to pay $400 after school to get because you all are comfortable allowing private tutoring companies to come in after school and provide prep that may or may not help 18/

Private tutoring companies that don’t even report to this county and whose only goal is to get students to pay for more tutoring... ask me how I know that 19/

In a county where almost 40% of students are free and reduce lunch we have tutoring companies charging $400 and not even reporting their progress to the county (are you aware they exclude bad results when they report to the school, I am) 20/

You have created an achievement gap so wide that a lot of these kids can’t go to college with their SAT and ACT scores unless they do go for sports then limit their Hudl access so they can’t go at all 21/

Nope... stay tired... someone give me that petition to sign... @ me. If you are standing in the way of our kids going to college I don’t care how nice or cool you are or who you know, you need to go 22/

And if you enable this behavior and allow it to continue by not telling him to stop... you can go too 23/
