Over an above the anti Roma and traveller dog whistling, note the Tory manifesto states that ‘intentional trespass’ will be made a criminal offence. That is massive - protest occupations, squatters, wandering into your neighbour’s garden without permission, etc., all criminalised
This would amount to a huge extension of landowner’s rights - trespass has always (largely) been a civil issue, if there is no criminal damage or breach of injunction. It is those laughable ‘trespassers will be prosecuted’ notices made into government policy.
Mind you, the tories might want to talk to their countryside people. This would mean a lot of hunts committing a criminal offence on a regular basis...
