Two main problems with the sheer number of Labour promises atm a) promising so much starts to seem completely incredible to voters b) voters fail to sense what really matters to you/what the thread which unites your policies actually is. 8’ 2017 approach was much more targeted.
And that’s before you get into the problems of implementation/setting yourselves up to fail in govt and the disappointment which might come about. But then I suppose it depends whether you think Labohr HQ thinks that’s a problem they’re likely to have.
Best case scenario, Labour minority govt and leadership can blame lack of majority/minority parties for blocking what they really wanted to do.
The 2019 election is a story of a party promising everything compared to a party promising v little. Voters have a clear direction of travel for one, much less clarity for the other. Both however, in their own ways, are proposing to dramatically change our political economy.
