Management and Business Consulting was just it for me.
I kept it firm in my heart and kept studying and learning.
It is a phase of my life that is yet to unfold. It is a process still in the works and I am largely still learning.
But one lesson I have learnt is this:
When you decide and commit to do something,
The reason many of us don't achieve our dreams is simply because we want it.
No one ever achieved what they wanted.
There are 3 levels to every achievement.
The first level is to want it.
At best, it gets you excited and pumped.
Bit you absolutely must move to the next level which is very important
You must decide to get it.
One thing I have learnt from my mentor is to always study words down to their etymological meaning.
The word decide comes from the Latin word 'decidere' which means 'to kill off or snuff out every other alternative'
In other words, your decision is shown by what you choose not to do, not by what you do.
If you tell me you have decided to be rich, it means you have chosen not to think like you
Decision alone is not enough for achievement.
You need
Level 3:
To commit yourself to what you want to achieve.
To entrust is from two words: en (make or put in) and trust (believe in the possibility and reliability of something)
When you commit yourself to achieving your goal, you are simply entrusting
You are putting yourself into the reliability and possibility of achieving that goal.
You have killed off every other distraction, sniffed out every other option, and soaked yourself completely into your goal.
Nothing else counts.
to
'deciding' that you will go for it (eliminating Evey other option)
then
'committing' yourself to it (soaking yourself completely in the process)
