@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems Hi @sarahwollaston

As a patron of @DevonRapeCrisis, you presumably accept their Equality and Diversity Policy including where they say, "All references within this policy to ‘women’ can be taken to read ‘self-identified women’"... 1/9
@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis ...thus they provide services to 'self-identified women' and could have staff or volunteers who are 'self-identified women'?

@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis Do you have data on how many vulnerable women have either left, put the phone down or not even bothered to seek their services when they have found out they could encounter a male at any time? 3/9
@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis This isn't about whether or not any particular male is a threat to vulnerable women and children: this is about their fear, their dignity, their feeling of a safe refuge from males and male violence - they must be protected from all men. 4/9
@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis They MUST come first, regardless of how much a man feels he is a woman or how sincerely and honestly he tells you he is. 5/9
@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis The way to do that is to fully and properly apply the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 and employ only women, not 'self-identified women'. @DevonRapeCrisis's website is misleading on this point. I would suggest they take legal advice. 6/9
@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis The question is, "Does a woman seeking help from a rape crisis centre have the right not to encounter a male?" 7/9
@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis We know that the vast majority of those who abuse women are men and some go to extraordinary lengths to do so, yet the @LibDems' policy of self-ID as announced by @JoSwinson will allow ANY man to 'self-identify' as a woman and gain access to vulnerable women and children. 8/9
@fairplaywomen @sarahwollaston @maitlis @BBCNewsnight @LibDems @DevonRapeCrisis @joswinson So the question is, what price a woman's feelings of safety, dignity and security? Does a man's feelings that he is a woman trump this woman's?

Abandon this policy of self-ID before more women are hurt. 9/9
