Okay, wow.

From Collins, it appears the GOP is furious about the fact that Nunes got busted when his number (and White House numbers) showed up in subpoenaed telephone numbers.
So in other words, Nunes (and the White House) were talking to people under investigation.
Castor: "They [the Democrats] were obviously trying to find something out."

I guess you mustn't do that in Congressional investigations.🤔
This is weird stuff: Apparently, according to the GOP, whoever checked phone numbers and found out that Nunes was talking to people he shouldn't have been did something evil and nefarious.

This is an extremely important question.

We are being drenched in a Tsunami of Lies.

The better people understand the goal behind those drenching us, and how to respond, the better chance democracy has of surviving.
1/ Assume about 40% of the people believe the lies⤵️

The danger isn’t that the number will grow past 50%.

The danger is that a large enough portion of the 60% who know that they are lies will get discouraged and give up.

The perpetrators of the lies want you to give up.
2/ That’s it in a nutshell. They’re trying to wear you out.

Here Clint Watts (@selectedwisdom) explains that one goal of active measures is to “undermine democracy, to make Americans lose confidence in democratic institutions. . . “

In the early August email exchanges, Mulvaney asked acting OMB director Russell Vought for an update on the legal rationale for withholding the aid & how much longer it could be delayed.

Trump made the decision in July w/o an assessment of the reasoning or legal justification
Emails show Vought + OMB staffers arguing that withholding aid was legal, while officials at the NSC & State Department protested.

OMB lawyers said that it was legal to withhold the aid, as long as they deemed it a “temporary” hold, according to people familiar with the review.
