The Kosher grocery store at the center of today's mass shooting in #JerseyCity was targeted according to police.
The civilian victims of the #JerseyCityShooting were all Orthodox Jews at a Kosher market that doubled as a community center.

The details of this story are just heartbreaking. The police officer who was murdered--a father of 5--was well-known to the community and described as "cherished." The Jewish EMS service attended victims, like they do for bomb victims in Israel.

In 2016 Democrats had a strong nominee with 40 years of pubic service.
Yet the disinformation campaign against @HillaryClinton was so intense and the lies so egregious that 27% of Democrats believed #Pizzagate--that HRC ran a child sex trafficking ring out of a basement.
Two women senators who rank in the top ten most progressive have been forced out of the race because of money and bad press and a relentless double standard that impacts women and POC but never touches white men no matter how often they fail.
Hillary was told to go knit--and still is. But Bernie, who lost to her in a landslide and nearly died on Oct 1 is still running as is Biden who has never gotten past single digits in his previous runs.

Claiming @KamalaHarris "collapsed" is one more false narrative embracing an MSM that anointed Biden nominee before he ever entered the race.
Women do not have the same advantages in presidential races--that is why there have been so few female candidates. Misogyny is a drug.
@KamalaHarris There have only been TEN women candidates for the 2 major parties in US history prior to 2019. Two GOP, 8 Democrats. Compared with hundreds of male candidates. So let's get serious about this. Misogyny is not a false narrative --it is embedded in every structure of this society.

Warren being introduced in Nevada by former state legislator Joe Neal, who's dramatizing the story of Warren being blocked from CFPB and running for Senate.

Warren asks if there are any other Okies in the crowd. Someone cheers, another says "Hook 'em!" Warren boos theatrically. "Them's fightin' words." Then she admits that she taught at UT Austin for a while. "It was a little awkward on game days."
First Warren town hall for me in a while; the opening story about her mother going back to work after her father's heart attacks has some new flourishes. "People brought covered dishes" after the heart attack; her mother and her locked eyes before she went to get the job

I’m in Vegas for the SEIU/CAP forum, which organizers want candidates to use for *specific* executive actions presidents can take to expand the labor movement.

"Many people here today want to join a union, but you can’t,” SEIU’s Mary Kay Henry says at start.
Kamala Harris's first big idea here: "Banning right-to-work laws." Also says she'd "use her executive authority to make sure barriers are not in place to do the advocacy they need to do."

Sanders has previously called for banning right-to-work, which could not pass a GOP Senate.
Harris on somewhat firmer footing when talking about economic stress -- which she uses to talk about her LIFT Act tax cut.
