PPOPHET MUHAMMAD’S LAST SERMON

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) delivered his last sermon (Khutbah) on the ninth of Dhul Hijjah (12th and last month of the Islamic year), 10 years after Hijrah (migration from Makkah to Madinah) in the Uranah Valley of mount Arafat.
His words were quite clear and concise and were directed to the ENTIRE HUMANITY .
After praising, and thanking Allah he said:

“O People, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again.
Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and take these words to those who could not be present here today.
O people, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as Sacred, so regard the life and property of every Muslim as a sacred trust.

#Refugees mostly circulate the national wealth lying in the lower #economic hierarchies of a country thus encouraging economic activity among the poorer classes.
They cater to the poorer and neglected sections of a #society which are in no position to enjoy the lifestyle of the elite trending #DeportAfghanistanRefugees.
These sections of society don't really care about #xenophobes until they get cheaper food provided by #refugee entrepreneurs.

Xenophobes are often kids of fat rich parents who think #wealth should be #privilege for them while denied to the wretched.

My definition of a shitbag:

1. Thinks #refugees are a problem.

2. Thinks #Muslims/#Jews are inherently thorny.

3. Thinks #women should be 'more' religious than #men.
4. Thinks #Blacks are somewhere lazy.

5. Thinks #wealth is always a consequence of #hardwork and not #privilege.

6. Justifies #war benefiting his/her country at the expense of another.
7. Condemns #atrocities of others but justifies those committed by his/her #nation.

8. Wants to explore the #East but hates refugees in the #West.

9. Wants to live in the West but loves #Sharia/#Hindutva in the East.

1 - When you take up #responsibility, a cognitive shift happens in you. Your mental setup changes.
2 - For example, if you work eight hours in your office just following orders you will feel dull and tired. Instead, if you take up responsibility and #initiative, that same eight hours will become much easier and more enjoyable.

Tweeting about #poverty and #wealth is quite instructive. It's obvious that many feel very strongly about it yet know so little. Consider what wealth is: it is to have the means to satisfy wants. Those means can be anything, including berries or fruits growing in the wild. But
the vast majority of means are created. There are no hamburgers, iPhones, or houses growing on trees. In other words, most means to satisfy wants were created. So wealth, generally speaking, is created. Many appear confused by this rather obvious fact, or take offense by it being
stated. That is not only ignorant, but counter-productive: whoever does not believe that the means to satisfy wants (wealth) are created surely is not acting to create them. So we are missing out on a lot of wealth because of this ignorant view; our standard of living could be

Key insight: #Capitalism inherently concentrates #wealth into a shrinking minority & given that our political system is funded by private $ & that $ = power. It explains why regulations can only temporarily slow/reverse the trend. peoplespolicyproject.org/2019/03/05/wea… via @PplPolicyProj
Now of course regulations & #progressive taxation are needed but to truly defeat inequality & protect our political system. We need to democratize the main source of #inequality which is the workplace. Our factories, stores, & offices aka the businesses that make up the #economy.
To do that we have to bring #democracy into the economy. Accomplished by passing comprehensive legislation that helps fund, promote, + incentivize the expansion & creation of #Worker #Cooperative businesses. Which are businesses owned & run by their workers democratically.

To move rightward, is about the desire to conserve, hence #conservative. In order to want to conserve, you have to have something you want to conserve. If all you have is debt and more #debt, what the heck do you have to conserve? @sapinker
The progression to more right with age is a historically temporary #American phenomenon born out of the fact that #boomers acquired increasing affluence because of the society in which they found themselves as a result of the #NewDeal & #progressive policies which they inherited
Having been born on third base and believing they had hit a triple, as a generation, they decided to slow this #wealth distribution thing down a little and now we find ourselves where we find ourselves. The move rightwards requires something to conserve.

For #IWD2018 a look at why Prime Minister Modi's #BetiBachaoBetiPadhao (Educate girls to Save them) program will not stop India's mass #femicide until these issues are addressed. Link & THREAD.
opendemocracy.net/5050/rita-bane…
1/ Prime Minister Modi’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’ (Save the Girl, Educate the Girl) programme, launched in January 2015, was the first time since India's independence in 1947 that the Indian government had raised the issue of female genocide in a public campaign.
2/ British census data in the 18th century had attributed India’s skewed #sexratio to female #infanticide and other forms of #femicide, such as sati, but after independence subsequent governments remained bizarrely indifferent to the issue even as it reached epidemic proportions.
