GOHMERT just named the person alleged to be the whistleblower as someone Republicans think should testify.

No other lawmakers have done this.
NEW: GOHMERT became the first lawmaker to publicly name a person purported by some Trump allies to be the whistleblower.

Schiff warned there could be ethics consequences for something like this, though his office is declining to comment.

@BresPolitico Asked how he knew the person is a fact witness, Gohmert named two former NSC aides and said all three had valuable information, but he didn't say how he knew. And he said "do your homework" when Bres asked if he had violated any laws or rules.

There is a lot of misinformation out there about what makes someone a #whistleblower - specifically in the intelligence community (not sure why, just kidding yes I do). I'm hoping to clear some of that up. A thread:
Importantly, the word whistleblower has two meanings and it's good to be clear about which one you're using. One is a legal definition, rooted in the various statutes Congress has passed, and the other is a broader definition. In this thread, I'm using the legal definition.
A whistleblower 1. makes a disclosure to specific individuals and 2. has a reasonable belief that the disclosure shows a violation of law, rule, or regulation OR mismanagement, gross waste of funds, abuse of authority, or substantial and specific danger to public health or safety

END/We will note, however, that publication or promotion of name shows desperation to deflect from substance of #whistleblower complaint. It will not relieve the President of the need to address the substantive allegations, all of which have been substantially proven to be true.

Lie #1 - The Dems want to undo the election.
Reality: #Trump has broken every ethical/legal norm. He is a clear and present danger to the national security of US and needs to be removed.

New York needs to repeal "loitering for the purpose of prostitution,” aka the "walking while trans" law. A tight fitting dress shouldn't lead to arrest. NY also needs to expand criminal record relief for survivors of trafficking. Survivors shouldn't have a record for forced acts.
New York’s “loitering for the purposes of prostitution” law, aka the “walking while trans” law, has been used to target women, particularly transgender women of color, who gather in public in certain communities. Individuals have been arrested for wearing tight fitting clothing.
According to the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, there has been a 120% increase in arrests for loitering for the purpose of prostitution in 2018. 152 people were arrested: 49% Back, 42% Hispanic, and 7% white.
