Private health insurance jobs lost argument is illogical. Here's why. Thread.

👉 There are ~160X+ more people without care that could DIE vs. low-wage pvt. health ins. jobs. Death vs. New Job.

👉 Medicare only covers ~44M. That means single-payer will create 100Ks of jobs.
👉 Healthcare for All (HCA) which I am proposing, accelerates single-payer M4A, increases the number of primary care physicians and SCALES the infrastructure. It will create hundreds of thousands high-wage jobs. Jobs that people from the pvt. health ins ind. can transition to.
👉 RealPay for All (RPA) which I am proposing will ensure that pvt. health insurance employees that today make less than $15/hr will be paid a thriving wage (NOT a get-by-in-debt living wage). Thriving wage: able to live where you work, save to buy a home and retire someday.
👉 Education for All (EDA) which I am proposing will ensure that anyone who transitions from a job with the pvt. health ins. industry will have options for debt-free education and re-training.

👉 Single-payer HCA will ensure everyone has heath care, NOT sky-high cobra premiums.
👉 So while low-paid pvt. health insurance employees transition to a better high-paid job or gain retraining they will have peace of mind of guaranteed health care coverage. They won't DIE.

👉 Everyone who loses one of these pvt. health ins. jobs will have options to transition.
The job transition would impact less than 1% of the un/under insured.

If your child dies because you are unable to pay a premium or co-pay, is it okay that it was so a few low-wage pvt. health ins. jobs could be preserved? I say NO.
