Another "Anniversary Interview" by SRF commander Karakayev:

redstar.ru/yadernyj-shhit…

Stay tuned for a thread.

Lots of stuff said elsewhere over last few weeks, or even earlier.
5 ICBM launches in 2019 (3xPL, 2xKY),6 planned for 2020 (5xPL, 1x??).
KY test range modernization completed in 2019: new set of measuring and comms equipment, real-time information for Central Command Post.

2/
#NewSTART mentioned A LOT:
- ceilings as the only numbers that can be disclosed on SRF (~60% of delivery vehicles and warheads).
- ~70% of 18 annual inspections by the US are on SRF objects
- expressed hope that "common sense" will prevail with regard to US stance on extension
3/
SRF units are protected by military district air defense rgts armed with S-300PM and S-400, but there's a "sober assesment" of increase in air attack capabilities, including by UAVs, and invests in research and development on protection by new and future air defense means.

4/
On post-#INF: clear understanding of US capabilities (although the interview is outdated, as both GLCM and IRBM tests are mentioned as something expected in the future, but until the end of 2019), no guarantees that those are not nuclear-capable, but...

5/
...point about "no new nuclear deterrence tasks for SRF" reiterated. Although explicit statement that the countries which agree to host US INF-range assets will be under "greater risk of retaliation".

6/
Very strange : the journalist asks if it is possible to airlift Yars launchers, Karakayev says that it is technically possible, mass and dimensions of TEL allow for it, but they have never tried...but now they will consider it, in case it will be nedded.

7/
Several points of automation and robots:
helps to cut routine operations, but human operators still crucial, "automated=/=automatic"
robots will help with guard duty, especially recon and fire support
there is a set fo SRF-specific requirements for battle robots

8/
1) exclusion of friendly fire possibility
2) operations under fire, EW, cyber and CBRN
3) simultaneously control over all robots performing diverse tasks in autonomous and manual modes
4) 24/7 combat duty within the SRF combat duty system

9/
5) compatibility and a high degree of unification of communication, hardware and software for robot control centers with SRF C2
6) protection against interception of control of a robots.

There are more and there will be more.

10/
Back to ICBMs:
3 msl rgts re-armed with Yars over 2019
76% new equipment
silo-based Avangard and Yars are of different class and compliment each other in terms of battle missions
Sarmat will replace Voyevoda, more capable, can be equipped with next-gen hypersonic RVs
11/
"Normal" lifespan for missile systems is 15 years, but due to reliability life extension is carried out for legacy systems

100% new by 2024 (Yars, Avangard, Sarmat)
