There is a lot of misinformation being deliberately peddled on SM about #CAA and #NRC. Thought I should atleast make an attempt to address those:
1) CAA is for religiously persecuted Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Afghani Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis and Christians!

2) Muslims are not included, coz they are the majority and not minorities in these nation's. Including them would mean that we allow all Pakistanis (including terrorists) , Bangladeshi , Afghans in India. So, not possible by any stretch of imagination!

3) CAA has absolutely nothing to do with any religious community members who are already a citizen of India.

4) To prove one's citizenship NRC will be implemented at a future, undisclosed time in India. As off now #NRC is only applicable in Assam as per SC.

5) There are a list of 14 comprehensive documents including Bank Account and LIC policy for inclusion in #NRC.

6) In ASSAM, pre 1971 residency is required to be proved because BANGLADESH was FORMED in 1971! And Assam shares a border with BANGLADESH! Hence #NRC in Assam required parent's or grandparent's documents.

7) The rest of India doesn't share a border with BANGLADESH. Hence the time stamp, most likely will not be required

8) Furthermore, because #CAA has been implemented before #NRC across India, logically, it means that even refugees who have received their citizenship document recently will be included in the #NRC across India, barring North East, where it has already been implemented!

I hope this helps. Off course #NRC has not been implemented across India as yet. So, in all likelihood government will look into all aspects, with sensitivity, for sure!

8) Also, #CAA and later #NRC will help government to trace source of terror financing, eventually.
This is the single most important point for the protesters, since post 370 and demonetization, their lot on life is already beleaguered.
Kindly don't strengthen their hands!
