I have no tolerance for antivaxxers. Our kids face enough threats; they don’t need more. When 400 of these (mostly white) moms show up to protest testimony, I may have been a little blunt.

As a society, we cannot afford to view these pseudo scientists and faux religious adherents as mere public health threats. They are a threat to our public safety. We need stronger state laws around disclosure and religious and medical exceptions. 2/

Our kids face gun violence, and opioids, and climate change. Happily, they do not face the public health harms that left generations before them deaf, blind, paralyzed, or dead. The people who would return us to those times aren’t just ignorant. They are dangerous. 3/
