Backed into a corner, Nancy now has to nut up or shut up. If she sends the articles to the Senate, now Booker, Bernie, Warren, and Sanders are tied up and off the campaign trail.
Now Bernie, Booker, Warren, Sanders, and I forgot about Klobuchar (that's okay we all did) have to deal with their own conflict of interest judging the man who would be their opponent.
Do they refuse themselves and guarantee Boss is found innocent by a much larger margin than before? Do they go though with it and take themselves off the campaign trail and hand it to Biden?
It doesn't stop there. Say the trial in the Senate is over now comes the hearing for Barrett on tht USSC. How long will that take? Another 2 months or so? That's 5 Dem presidential candidates removed from campaigning for most of 2020, probably up until the convention.
Granted this is all speculation, dependant on the fate of RBG, but still fun to think about and shows how Pelosi and the Dems fail at playing the long game.
