Let me put this tweet here into some more context.
Amber Krabach, aka @AK4WA, is a candidate for State Representative in Washington’s 45th District. She is a Republican.
In May of 2019, she caught wind of our local school district’s decision to explore the idea of allowing students to celebrate Pride at school, and decided to join the local parent-run private Facebook group to engage in civil discussion on the topic.
Nah, just kidding. She immediately started a fight, causing such drama and headache that the volunteer admins locked her post for the evening while they figured out what to do.
Infuriated by this attack on her dignity, Amber promptly took more than thirty screenshots of the comments to her post — which included comments authored by minor students — and re-posted them to her public campaign page.
She was immediately thrown out of the group, which pleased her exactly none.
When it was pointed out she had violated the rules of the group, she was… not exactly remorseful, though she did offer to “edit the post.”
Turns out she just meant “removing the names,” not “taking out the screenshots.”
She defended her right to leave these up, since it wasn’t technically a violation of FB’s ToS. (Which it isn’t.)
When asked directly if she would take down a child’s post if their parent asked them to? Her answer was, basically, only if *she* (not the parent) felt it was really necessary.
So, there you go. Amber Krabach does not give a shit about the privacy and safety of minors, no matter how she mewls on about bathroom bills. When it came to her own agenda? She was happy to throw those same children under the bus.
