#RepublicDayAwards2020 @adgpi 2/5 0.01% (POINT ZERO ONE PERCENT) of officer strength were given 52% awards. Of the 125 balance awards, Cols got 46, Lt Cols got 4, Majs-15, Capt's-13, Lt's-2, Col to Lt got 80 of 125 or 64% of 125 awards.
#RepublicDayAwards2020 @adgpi 3/5 Officer Cadre accounted for 216/261 awards ie 82% Of the total awards. Officers account for 3% strength of Army and got 82% awards and balance 97% of Other Rank strength gots 18%.
#RepublicDayAwards2020 @adgpi 4/5 I appealed to sort out internal rot. All @adgpi did was to stop publishing the awards. No award list was published on 26 Jan 2017&18 in all newspapers as was done till 2016. We need to be seen as an Army that is driven by young officers.
#RepublicDayAwards2020 @adgpi 5/5 WE look forward to 26 Jan 2020 newspapers for list of awardees. The format, method and publicity should be as was in 2016. Any dilution would mean that there is a lot to hide. Respect valour and kindly discourage Armchair Leaders.
