PBS released a Christmas special that blames the death of White Helmet's co-founder James Le Mesurier at least partially on the Working Group on Syria, Propaganda and Media.
(CAUTION: The report warns of distressing images.) pbs.org/newshour/show/…
According to the new conspiracy theory by Hamish de Bretton Gordon, either the Russian bots or the Working Group are somehow to blame or at least suspect.
And this theory is backed up by the most horrific images that have been found in connection with alleged chemical weapons attacks: November 20, 2016 al-Sakhour, Eastern Aleppo.
Back then Bellingcat and Human Rights Watch reported the incident. HRW recognized the incident as part of a large-scale Coordinated Chemical Attack on Aleppo.
The pro-rebel media showed an upright cylinder with a believable deformation, which, however, pointed upwards as if the cylinder had turned after the collision.
According to the testimony of James Le Mesurier's squad, the cylinder had destroyed an entire house (unlike those Douma cylinders that were supposed to fit through a hole that was too small).
The attack allegedly happened at 1:00 a.m. and while one HRW witness ran off after the impact and found a whole family, the other could barely get close in the morning. At least by 10:00 A.M., the pictures of the dead kids (used by PBS) were online
Of course, these shocking images have triggered a renewed media campaign. But again, compared to Douma, these children appear to be dead for much longer than 9 hours and these pictures were probably taken during the night already.
As in Douma the clothes are obviously wet but the wetness in combination with the alleged chlorine did not lead to a bleaching effect, as recently proposed by Bellingcat supporters to explain the bleach stains in Douma.
And of course Hamish de Bretton Gordon takes us through the show. Same Hamish sold us rising orange clouds as chlorine gas, claims to have witnessed an attack that was flagged as 'probably fake' by the OPCW, and who measured Cl2 in the Taleb incident 4 weeks after the incident.
