But it will be called a success as they engage in profit extraction with the corresponding rocketing of share price until residual value has been taken after which customers will seek safe havens causing a decline in revenues that leads to cost cutting and the spiral of doom.
Of course, consultants make money on the profit extraction (often value based fees), on market reports (to explain revenue decline) and finally re-organisation fees and cost cutting exercises. Trebles all round.
