(In no particular order)
An epic crossing multiple generations of a single family, beautifully written and detailed.
I read this at the beginning of the year, and some of the characters are still with me. Like old friends.
This one devastated me. Many parts poem, many parts spiritual journey.
At times, I was forced to put the book down down, just to sit in the feels.
It’s a crier.
A moving diary in graphic novel form, it tells the story of a little girl growing up in Capone’s Chicago.
The story moves quickly, but the art slows you down to a halt.
Absolutely stunning.
