The TCJA levered up our country by TWO TRILLION DOLLARS, mostly for the benefit of corporations and the rich, and these clowns have the GALL to say we should be happy for the crumbs falling off massa's table. And people wonder why Bernie is winning. wsj.com/articles/tax-r…
Thanks to the 2017 Tax Cuts and (LOL) Jobs Act, the US Treasury has written checks of more than $100 million to Amazon out of YOUR tax dollars in each of the past 2 yrs.

What does it mean to transform capital markets into a political utility, using the tax code to do it?

This.
Amazon made $11 BILLION in profits in 2018, and cashed a check for $129 million from the US Treasury.

Weird how there's an AMT for you and me, but not for Amazon.
Just not true. Here are Amazon's US Fed income tax payments for 2013-2016. I'm pretty sure Obama was president then.

2016: $1,136m
2015: $215m
2014: $214m
2013: $99m

Still criminally too low? Yes. Why so low? "stock-based comp deductions"
