The GOP has always backed it's primary candidate, full force, to the wall, and that's why they haven't won a single popular vote in decades, yet managed to gain power and takeover the country to execute their white nationalist agenda.
Non-GOP members try to do the right thing and select a candidate they feel is right, to the chagrin of everyone else, and while standing on a soapbox effectively cripple any chance we have to stop the GOP and it's overtly fucked up policies and practices.
In the end, the 'perfect' person isn't always the one that gets the job done, and we need to address that above all else, once we mange (if we manage) to regain control of the government and oust the entire GOP... this party needs to be disbanded.
Like it or not, until we eliminate the electoral college, we are a two party system, and any vote for an independent candidate is a wasted one.

After he (Bernie) lost the vote, he then campaigned against Hillary Clinton with the intention of drawing votes from the party which was a factor in Trump securing the win in 2020.

We should be fighting for a common cause, like the enemy, instead of bickering and fracturing any chance we have to forward the country in a manner that benefits everyone, not just elitist, middle class white people selling fantasies of a perfect utopia that can't exist.
For the record, I'm neither a Dem nor a Republican, I vote for the person most likely to do the right thing, the GOP just isn't interested in anything like that, so I default to Democratic vote, because it's the right thing to do.
I'm intelligent enough to know when the system is being gamed against us, until we find a way to eliminate the electoral college and choose the candidate with the MOST VOTES period, we are forced to deal with it.
Vote for your choice in the primary, but after that you need to get over yourselves and VOTE BLUE TO SAVE AMERICA.
If that choice is Bernie, so be it. I don't agree with it but will vote BLUE.
