The first day of work in the new decade is a good time to delete and reboot all your digital detritus from your phone, devices and computers. Change all your passwords and delete all your emails, sticky notes etc. Yes all your emails. I do it every year and it is refreshing.
I keep a zero sum desktop. I learned this from working with major meat eaters. I learned to focus on one thing, deal with it and then get it off your desk. One year I slid...and had over 25,000 emails by year's end. I deleted them all and haven't missed one of them.
Back in the paper age, one CEO I worked with told me, never create a new piece of paper... write your response on the original letter and send it back. Keep the ball in play and move on. If the idea is compelling, it will come back. If not focus on the next one.
Another thing I have learned from working with everyone from Steve Jobs to four stars. is "Give stress, don't get stress". Have a great 2020 and let's get good things done.
