1) I think at this point we got the message: should anybody meddle in clandestine and possibly illegal affairs between the USA government and mercenaries (Private Military Contractors), yet paid by American taxpayers, there will be "disproportional retaliation".
2) With ample evidence concerning the promiscuous relations between Private Military Contractors and Transnational Criminal Organizations, one just must wander who exactly POTUS has in mind on the matter of protection.

Be VERY careful with sweeping claims such as "cut military expenditures". I'm all for it DEPENDING on where the cuts will be made. If you hand the candidate a blank check, they will use it.
2) One possible scenario: cut expenditures with American legal troops, their welfare and safety but not on contracts with Private Military Companies.

The outcome of such a cut is a possible end-game global conflict. Why?
3) Because companies are not people. They don't have morals, social responsibility, loyalty, etc. They function on the logic of optimized profit. What optimized profit for a PMS? Wider and wider militarized (and expensive) conflict.
