Rant incomming:

I've got a degree. I've had people, to my face, accuse me of being lefty as I have been subjected to indoctrination in the education system

My degree is in geology. All discussion in the classroom was about rocks, rocks and more rocks. Any political discussion would have been a waste of time as the questions in the end of year exams were exclusively about rocks and things to do with rocks.

2/

As part of looking at rocks, I wrote a thesis for my Masters about climate change in the geological record in relation to the contemporary situation. At no point did politics come into it.

I have long since lost what I wrote, but long story short - it was enough to put me off a career in oil and gas exploration as it rang some existential alarm bells

We really need to do a lot more to combat climate change, or we are going to be toast.

By we, I don't mean so much you and I - we can all do our individual bit by using less carbon in whatever way and putting pressure on organisations.

BUT - when we have dicks strutting around waving lumps of coal in a parliament, starting wars over oil and being Meat Loaf, it's not going to have enough of an impact.

If we let the idiots in charge label climate change action as being left wing and giving people the excuse to ignore it, we are screwed

Climate Change is rocks, the carbon cycle, the methane cycle and various other apolitical science things. That's it. The scientists are right (within the relevant margins of error).

Trump, Farage, Putin, Morrison and all their followers are wrong

Climate Change is science - trust the scientists

Climate change is not politics - do not trust those who try to politicise it.
