It's through asking questions that we acquire knowledge.
Questioning does not imply challenging. It's seeking knowledge, not denying knowledge.
In America, our culture is such that schools encourage students to ask questions. Other cultures are different, where you would never dare ask a question for fear of appearing as if you were challenging the teacher/professor.
Though I've found that even in American schools, there are certain questions you dare not ask, certain things you are supposed to Believe but not Understand.
In that original thread, I have questions, things I don't understand. But I know that if I attempt to ask them, I'll get "this guy" tweets, misunderstanding my questions as "challenges". I'm not challenging, I'm seeking understanding.
"What about helium balloons?" is not challenging the Theory of Gravity. It's seeing something needing to be explained, so asking about it. Imagine if we refused to answer such questions by telling the inquirer to shut up, "this guy".
