Their dismissal of me, as they demand to know why I’m not fighting FGM in Egypt & their use of a gif of a white suffragist being force fed as a stand-in for Egyptian women as a way to appeal to my fight, while ignoring suffragists’ racist exclusion of women of colour! Amazing!
A British transphobe sent me this, conveniently ignoring:
- the racist exclusion of women of colour by many in the suffragist movement
- there are trans and gender non-conforming people in Egypt as well as cis women who are oppressed by patriarchy.

I am a feminist whose goal is the destruction of patriarchy. That goal entails fighting misogyny as well as other oppressions utilized by patriarchy: Zero tolerance for sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, classism, ableism, all bigotry.
