What is the American Dream? (Thread)

While difficult to define I’ll give it a try. The American Dream is both your greatest dream and the greatest dream that your neighbor can dream.

It’s permission to be free and the space to make those dreams come true. 🇺🇸
The American Dream isn’t just acquiring wealth, it’s the will to die protecting freedom if it came to that because nothing is more valuable for our children and their children.

Where some see impossibility & road blocks, The American Dream finds possibility & alternate routes.
The American Dream will be hated by some because it’s permission to be the greatest you can be and to some people, there’s nothing more scary than that.

The American Dream demands we get up when we’re knocked down, it’s the voice inside telling us that we can’t quit.
The American Dream is relentless and innovative. It’s diverse in it’s abilities. It can take a punch and then deliver a knockout blow.

The American Dream is worth fighting for.

The American Dream can be you if you have the resilience, determination and heart to embody it.
As an American, regardless of your upbringing, skin color or gender, The American Dream is inside of you if you choose it. The road will be harder for some than others but the opportunity to be the best you, free of government coercion & control. You are a free man or woman.
The American Dream is love, it’s peace, it’s security, it’s a full stomach, it’s unique, it’s a small business, it’s going from janitor to CEO, it’s coaching, it’s teaching, it’s freedom of movement and freedom of thought. It’s so many things and that’s what makes it so special.
The American Dream recognizes its good fortune. Countless paths to how we all became citizens exist but The American Dream can be our unifying ideal.

A different vision exists for all of us in terms of what it is but our ability to have it and achieve it is uniquely American.
The American Dream is part of our life force as Americans. It keeps us strong. It rewards determination, strength, resilience, passion & connection.

When one of us achieves it, we help others reach their mountaintop.

God help us if we ever lose sight of its tremendous power. 🇺🇸
The American Dream is not always grandiose.

It allowed my Grandparents to start over after Cuba was destroyed by leftists. It took them to grow from janitor jobs to a good life where they saw family like me be free to talk about politics without the fear I’d be killed for it. 🇺🇸
Now I ask you: What’s your version of the American Dream? 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
