It's important to note two things:

Sanders and Warren are running for president. They both have campaigns behind them and they both have people who volunteer, knock on doors and make phone calls to debate and convince people to vote for their favorite candidate.
Despite all of this, Warren's reaction further amplified the fire when she claimed to be "disappointed to hear that Bernie is sending his volunteers out to trash [her]"
On the other hand, Bernie reassured everyone that he had nothing to do with the leaked script, and that the latter was not part of his official campaign
Fast forward to today, when Warren shared this open letter, claiming that Bernie told her he didn't believe a woman could become president
This claim was quickly debunked in an article where someone who was present during the dinner denies Bernie ever said that.
Instead, Bernie said "Trump would use nefarious tactics against the democratic nominee".

But even without this source, it would be incredibly out of character for Bernie Sanders, who in 2016 urged Warren to run for president, to ever say something like this
It's clear that this whole story was a fabricated lie, from beginning to end, the scope of which is the mischaracterization and demonization of Bernie Sanders in favor of Elizabeth Warren, coincidentally right after the rise on polls for the former and fall for the latter.
