The House will send articles of impeachment to the Senate today. And while Trump and his administration have tried to obstruct the impeachment inquiry, we've still been able to obtain documents through FOIA litigation that shed light on Trump's Ukraine dealings.
We've filed six lawsuits against the Trump administration for Ukraine-related records. See what we've obtained so far — including many records the administration has refused to turn over to House investigators in the impeachment inquiry:

Just in case you haven't noticed, the Trump administration's stonewalling efforts are failing. We've already obtained several hundred pages of documents that have shed new light on the timing and implementation of the scheme to withhold military aid from Ukraine.

In October 2017, the president directed the health department to declare that the opioid epidemic was an emergency.

Last week, the Trump administration forgot to renew the declaration: politico.com/news/2020/01/2…
HHS says this has been corrected. But public health experts say that the emergency declaration has done little to address the problem.
We launched an investigation back when the declaration was first announced to find out what steps the administration is taking to address the issue — and we have yet to obtain many records: americanoversight.org/investigation/…

Indeed, in her presser today she seemed to go even further when she said: “I hear different things. They might want to dismiss ... equals cover up.”

This suggests that Pelosi will not be satisfied with just any rules of engagement either. 3/13

While we are on the subject of Mr. McGahn: Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson in Washington is expected to rule today in a lawsuit by House lawmakers that has sought to compel McGahn's testimony related to obstruction counts in Mueller probe. If lawmakers win today...
and if the judge says WH aides/staff are compelled to testify and obey Congress, the ruling would have major implications for any witness testimony moving forward in the impeachment process.

A note on #impeachment -

In a court of law, under non-presidential circumstances, impeachment is a tool litigation attorneys use to discredit the opposing side's witnesses at trial. When said witness takes the stand under oath attys. present evidence contrary to what the witness
claims. This weakens the other side's case by discrediting impeached witnesses's testimony. Once a witness has been impeached - by presentment of inconsistent testimony - the judge/jury can no longer use the impeached witnesses's testimony in reaching a verdict.
Simply put, they aren't trustworthy. In the case of Presidential impeachment that broad definition of impeachment applies, but the impeachment tool is used for a very different purpose. Under the Constitution, a sitting President cannot be tried in a court of law for anything.
