Been writing about how potentially explosive Parnas SDNY/FBI inquiry was for months now.

Here 👇is a thread I did in November which lays it all out - a new SDNY/FBI inquiry which could eventually snare Trump, Nunes, Pence, Pompeo, Rudy, Mulvaney....
Want to draw particular attention to the SDNY/FBI presser announcing the Parnas/Fruman arrests.

Read/listen to the words of SDNY and FBI about the seriousness of election law crimes - sure feels like Trump was the intended audience.
Important that we establish the SDNY/FBI Ukraine investigation is ongoing and hasn't been "Barred."

Pressure to shut it down not just coming fr Trump - but surely fr Nunes, Rudy, Pompeo, other senior WH aides w/criminal exposure. Maybe Barr himself too.

@GENmag Worth repeating that Attorney General Barr has known for weeks/months about the evidence and testimony Parnas would provide, and chose to keep it from Congress.

It's why Barr must resign. He wasn't just part of the cover up - he's been its architect.

This rule needs more attention. Is McConnell barring reference to the testimony of the Trump aides who testified in the House? What are the House managers supposed to talk about?

This rule feels particularly Orwellian. Legal Twitter please advise.
We're also abt to learn whether GOP Senators who signed up for McConnell's package understood how extreme it would be, and that it's intent would be to prevent rather than enable trial to take place.

So, apparently the House managers/public are going to find out what the trial rules are a few hours before the trial begins.

That #MoscowMitch is holding the package back suggests it will be an illiberal outrage, the latest middle finger from the Trumpists to the Founders.
So the House is going to have 2 days starting this Wednesday to make 24 hours of arguments; but the first day begins at 1pm ensuring it goes late into the night, isn't seen and exhausts the Managers.

3/BTW folks, the McConnell cover story that he was following the “Clinton precedent” has proven to be an obscene, odious lie which has now tainted the trial and made him, again, a terrible American villain.

The contemptuous GOP lying remains a shocking feature of this time.

2/On Aug 12th the whistleblower complaint was filed, and on Sept 9th the "urgent concern" letter from Michael Atkinson, the Inspector General of the Intelligence Community was sent to Congress. It was this act which triggered the House inquiry. nytimes.com/2019/09/19/opi…
3/But what has gotten far less attention is that on Aug 14th, 2 days after receiving the whistleblower complaint, the CIA's general counsel, Courtney Elwood, was so alarmed that she made a criminal referral of the President to the Department of Justice. nbcnews.com/politics/trump…

The firm has come under scanner in our research in many aspects of National Security as well.

As per the report MO of foreign PE firms like KKR is to borrow money from Indian Banks at 8-9% and then lend it to Indian businesses at a whopping 20-25% - the high rates of interest makes it difficult for native business to survive or remain profitable to repay the lenders.
KKR is the second largest foreign PE investor in #CCD with 6.07% (1.28 crore shares) after selling approx 4.25% in Feb 2018, making at the time 10.3%. Foreign investors together hold 22.35% stake in #CafeCoffeeDay valued at Rs 724 crore.

Okay first things: You may already be covered medically and saving money. How do you find this out? Look at your CTC in your appointment letter or your payslip

Do you have something called PF on it? That's a saving!

Did HR issue you an insurance card? That's your Mediclaim.
Things to ask: How much PF is being deposited into my account each month?

What's my sum insured? Is it just me who is covered or my dependents too?

e.g. You have 3 lacs for self plus dependents (parents/spouse/child). This means upto 3 lacs to be used by any of you per year

#Thread 1/ Today's a day when I think a lot of people are going to be discussing and critiquing #journalism Since I've been teaching the subject for quite some time now, here's some things I tell my students about their relationships to public officials.
2/ The first rule of #journalism, even in the @spj_tweets code of ethics, is to "seek truth and report it." Sources of truth don't always want it shared. Everyone wants to look good, and when people have chosen to do bad things, they don't want you to expose them.
3/ A side #ProTip for newsmakers: The best way to avoid unfavorable coverage is to not do bad things. It's not 100%, but it works a lot better than other shenanigans you try.
