35 Lessons from the 35 Years I've been alive

Part 2 of 3.

#30DaysofThreads (18/30)

[Thread]
You can read part 1 here :

Or just jump straight to Lesson # 13

👇👇
13. Learn to Breath

A lot of the -tive emotions you feel such as fear, anger and anxiety can be controlled through breathing.

When you take control of your breath, you take control of your emotions, focus and energy.

Start with Box Breathing

14. Make Money Online

Not because it is the cool thing to do but because it will set you free and allow you to control your time.

There are tons of ways to make money online, but this thread ain't about that.

Pick a method and start learning.
15. Do Not Fear

The biggest thing holding you back is yourself.

So many people give up on their mission out of fear.

They fear getting rejected, going broke, losing it all etc.

I have missed out on so many opportunities because I was a pooosy.

Do not fear.
16. Most of your relationships are temporary

Most of the ppl you meet will only be in your life temporarily.

Could be hours, could be days, could be months, could be years, hell it could be decades.

Ppl come and go, so appreciate the ones that stick around and don't feel sad.
17. Never settle for Average

If you want to be above average, then stop acting average and start acting above average.

One hit wonders exist because they stopped pushing themselves.

If you want to be king and stay king, don't settle for average.

Keep growing daily.
18. Love yourself first

I took my first flight when I was 7 yrs old.

"Why do they make the adults put on the oxygen masks before helping the kids?" I wondered.

Because if they die, they can't help the needy.

Same concept applies in life.

If you lack the skills and.....
resources, how on earth are you going to be of use to your family and your community?

Be selfish so you can be helpful.

Love yourself by improving daily, and then use your skills and resources to help others.
19. Write your own rules

Don't break the law, but write your own damn rules.

You don't have to get a job.

You don't have to start dropshipping.

You don't have to get married.

You don't have to date multiple women.

Figure out what your own values and be faithful to them..
This goes back to my point on fear.

People are scared to be themselves.

As long as you are not causing harm to others, do what you want.
20. Stop Over Thinking

Think Big and stop sweating the small stuff.

Overthinking is Fear in action.

Over thinking causes you to freeze up.

Life is a series of imperfect moments.

Drink in the unpredictability, focus on your mission and go forth.

The little details ...
will work themselves out.

Remember, 99% of your worries will never happen.

So stop thinking and start taking action!
21. Listen before you speak

The highest ROI skills you can learn is people skills aka sales.

And if you are socially retarded, the first tip I can give you is to listen before you speak.

Tip # 2 Get a job in sales.

Tip # 3 Follow @Armanitalks, get on his list
22. Befriend older men

Want a real short cut in life?

Make friends with older men who have lived a full life.

Their wisdom and guidance will help you flatten the learning curve.

The guy with experience > the nerd who has read 1000 books 100% of the time.
23. Reading is about quality over quantity

Reading books is another shortcut in life, but reading in and of itself means 0,

if you don't reflect, revise and apply and the knowledge gleaned from those books.

Reading 10 great books repeatedly > reading 1 new book every week.
24. Find your Mission and throw Motivation in the trash

Motivation is for people who don't know what they want out of life.

They might have an idea or they may be excited about a novel trend because that's what's popular,

but deep down, they don't know what they really want.
When you have a mission, you will know it.

You won't need any motivation because you will be obsessed with completing your mission.

My mum raised 2 kids as a single mum in a poor country and got them out of poverty.

Her MISSION was to give her kids the opportunities she
never had.

Do you think she watched motivational vids to have the energy to

cook us dinner after 2 hours of commuting + working a 12 hour shift at the factory, every single day?

Find your mission and the motivation will feel like a fire burning in your belly.
