Couple of things to note: OBVs Sanders, Biden, and Warren (in that order) are the best known. Despite getting in (VERY) late & running a national (only) strategy Bloomsberg's 100 million + ad buy has paid off, he's almost as well recognized as Buttigieg w/o ever getting on a
debate stage (however, unless Biden collapses, Bloomberg has no path). Another thing to note is how much the social media/silly candidates dominate over the "traditionalists" regardless of "quality." Literally no one has heard of Bullock, Bennett, etc while Williamson is named by
4 students. You can also see the bias of recognition towards the later period of the Invisible Primary: like I said, few pay attention to prez primaries a year out. Imp to note, these students are more representative of America than you are, but this is not a scientific sample &
these are poli sci majors, which why we have a few outliers naming over half the field who bc n=26 would constitute a decent size of the overall sample. In other words, out in the wild, my guess is you would see more Biden, Sanders, Warren only answers, and probably a great deal
of only Biden, Sanders answers. I plan to test this in my VA presidential primary poll in a few weeks.
