Though I disagreed with a variety of points in the bullet list of 'points of agreement', this article has a lot of sensible suggestions.
This one jumped out at me though, as .. impractical, given the #COI created by #BigPharma funding ..

Here is a counter-proposal.
/Individuals/ who attended #OMSC2020 could THIS YEAR attend .@GFNicotine in Warsaw.
They would be welcome to do so, there are already many #vapers and advocates of other forms of #THR (don't put all your eggs in one basket!).

Further, they will not risk their attendance fee being arbitrarily snatched if the 'Powers That Be' decide they are unwelcome (which would not happen at GFN in any case - it's open to all).

This takes the decision out of the hands of faceless entities who likely have COI's, and puts the power back in the hands of the /individual/ to decide if the conference is for them.

It seems that #TobaccoControl has raised Article 5.3 of the @FCTCofficial guidance to a level as if it were the Word of God. This nonsense has to stop.
Even warring nations realize they must talk to their opposition in order to achieve their goals. Why is this not obvious to TC?

In answer to your (rhetorical?) question, I would welcome being invited to next year's #OMSC2021, but I sure as heck wouldn't risk putting money down, for that privilege.
