In a country with regular mass shootings, the only reason to show up in a crowded downtown area with body armor and a military weapon is to TERRORIZE people.
The White Men (and they are all White Men, because non-White Men would not be safe in this crowd) are explicitly TERRORIZING US to demonstrate to lawmakers they will cause more TERROR if they pass gun safety measures the voters wanted and voted them into office to pass.
This is what TERRORISTS do: they use threats of violence to scare the majority of US to do adhere to the desires of a minority. The armed White Men will scream something about the sacredness of the 2nd Amendment, but they are not here to protect the US from authoritarian regimes.
These armed men did not rush to the border to protect the children tossed into cages, or the airports to help families separated, or to DC to protest Trump's corruption or foreign collaborations against US. They use 2A, their guns, to protect only one thing: White Men with guns.
