Why are designers and developers increasingly throwing shade at product management? Is this an insurrection?

So... (1/4) issues around collaboration between developers and designers are being resolved. Alliances established. More professional trust. So the focus is shifting...
(2/4) - Feature factories aren't cutting it when it comes to professional gratification and development. Teams are more aware of what is possible, and what happens in other companies. So standards are going up for product managers.

There's more pressure on product managers.
(3/4) - Ironically, as product managers become more empowered, they have less of a "oh, the business forced me to do that" excuse. Classic case of advancement in one area
impacting other areas.
(4/4) - Sadly, I think that product managers transact much of their "work" in private away from the team. People seem to default to trust. But it doesn't take much to start questioning the PMs motives. There's a fine line between self-promotion and success theater and advocacy.
