What's really weird is that so many people seem to just take it as a given that leaving trans people to the wolves would make it easier for Demcorats to beat the GOP, but the GOP has *lost* basically every election in which they've saber-rattled against trans issues.
Like, I buy that there may be a handful of single-issue anti-trans voters who are persuadable to vote for Democrats.
But given that we beat Pat McCrory and Bob Marshall, AND shut down bathroom bills in Texas and Alaska, those voters can't possibly be that numerous, can they?

I mean, Pat McCrory spent the whole 2016 campaign trying to convince voters that trans people are disguised child predators, and in the end, several *Trump* voters backed his Democratic opponent.
Aren't we asking the wrong party whether they should compromise on trans issues?
