Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah,

I found this teaching of how the Noble Prophet (Salla Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) prayed by Sheikh @Assimalhakeem very beneficial & self-explanatory. So I decided to cut the video into piecemeal for easy understanding & practice.

Introduction (1)
@Assimalhakeem 2/ Our Salaat can only be valid if we pray it as the Prophet (Salla Allahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) prayed.

Learn the conditions of Salaat, without which it becomes invalid. Follow the videos one after the other.

Introduction (Cont.)
@Assimalhakeem 3/ In continuation with Sheikh @Assimalhakeem's explanations about the conditions without which a Salaat is Invalid; first all (a) Niyyah - intention (b) facing the Qiblah (c) Entrance of the time of the prayer (d) Covering the Awrah - the private part (e) purity
4/ Purity is divided into two types - WUDOO' or GHUSL, purity of body, purity of clothes and purity of place of Salaah.

Listen to the video, please. It contains very precise details.

Upon fulfilling all conditions, one starts the prayer.
5/ NOTE THAT the 1st pillar of Salaah is not Takbeeratul Ihraam. The first pillar is standing - when you are able to do so. You cannot choose to sit down in a Compulsory Salaat because you are lazy.

Listen to the video, please. It contains very precise details.
6/ While standing at the right & pure place facing the Qiblah with the intention to pray the particular Salaah you intend to pray, what next?

Listen to Sheikh as he explains...
7/ It is important to stand in submissiveness, humility expressing your weakness & poverty as you stand before Allah (SubhaanaHu Wa Ta'ala) in Salaat.

Listen to the explanations and watch how to do it.
8/ Ensure you stand ideal, as the Prophet (SAW) did in his Salaat. See the WRONG ways of doing it. DON'T DO THAT!

The next thing is Dua Al-istiftaah (dua of opening the prayer). It is Sunnah.
9/ In the video in Tween #9, Sheikh stated two easy Dua for Istiftaah. Although there are others, these are quite popular & easy to memorize. Learn them today & use in every salaat. After the Dua of opening, while you are in the correct standing position, you begin the Salaah.
10/ You open the recitation with "A'udhu Billahi Minash-Shaytaanir Rajeem, Bismillaahir Rahmaanir Raheem". Doing both is Sunnah, not compulsory. Listen to more explanations in the video of Tweet #9.

After this, we begin the recitation of Faatihah.
11/ The Faatihah recitation is one of the pillars of Salaah. It is not sunnah to join the verses of the Quraan while reciting in Salaah. Reading the Ayahs one after another & pausing in between enhances the taste, understanding & how the recitation touches our hearts.
12/ Reciting Surah after Faatihah is a sunnah. One's prayer is valid even if he doesn't recite Surah. NOTE THAT, praying as the Prophet (SAW) does is what is expected from us. Don't say, I saw this being done in Makkah & Madinah. Did the Prophet (SAW) pray in that manner?
13/ NOTE THAT it is not sunnah to pause long after saying Aameen, with the claim that you are waiting for those behind you to finish reciting Faatihah. There was nowhere the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa sallam) did that.

After finishing the Surah, we go for Ruku'u.

How?
14/ NOTE THAT raising the hands to the shoulder/ear level is a Sunnah. When going to Ruku', when do we raise the hand?

Learn the wrong ways and the right ways in this video, Tweet #14.
15/ Learn more about how you should be in your Ruku' position in this video, as expected of you.
