Days away from Iowa caucuses, DNC changed rules for qualifying for debates specifically so billionaire Mike Bloomberg could participate in next debate.

Wonder why they're so open to Bloomberg?

Bloomberg is now "financial life" of Democratic Party. He donated $800,000.
Bloomberg donated $800,000 to the Democratic Grassroots Victory Fund, which is a joint committee of the DNC that then was able to funnel funds to various state parties.
The most eye-grabbing injection of funds is the more than a quarter million that was put into the coffer of the Democratic National Committee. (*To be spent in totally neutral, keeping their thumbs off the scales manner, of course)
Bloomberg essentially maxed out. He gave the legal limit he could contribute to 44 different state parties. That amount totaled $400,000.

Contribution limits for individuals shows Bloomberg gave the max to Democratic state party committees in most instances
In 2016, Hillary Clinton's campaign laundered funds through Democratic state committees

In 2020, the DNC launders Mike Bloomberg's money through their Democratic state committees.

(*After all, Bloomberg didn't give directly to each state party. He gave to DNC joint committee.)
In 2016, in return for raising money and "investing" in DNC, Hillary controlled party's finances, strategy, and all the money raised.

Is that what Bloomberg expects the DNC to do for him? politico.com/magazine/story…
This thread visualizes state-by-state how a Republican billionaire is hijacking the Democratic Party to stop Bernie Sanders, with the support of powerful corporate Democrats in the DNC who would rather lose to Trump than elect Bernie in November.
To update what @alexisgoldstein previously wrote, spending hundreds of millions to stop Bernie Sanders—or become the Democratic nominee—is a "creative hedge against a wealth tax on his $52 billion-and-growing fortune."

@alexisgoldstein When considering groundwork laid for Bloomberg, it's clear cartoonishly neoliberal cast of foreign policy hacks and corporate lobbyists appointed to DNC convention committees is business as usual for second-most enthusiastic capitalist party in America. thegrayzone.com/2020/01/27/dnc…
