I think if we had a major outbreak of a deadly new disease in, say, Washington DC, and the suspected disease vector was, say, a feral cat population, and there were noted scientists at Fort Detrick working with feral cats ... it’s not crazy to have questions about that.
And yes, Fort Detrick (45 miles outside of DC) is absolutely a biowarfare facility. Just like the Wuhan National Biosafety Lab is.
